"Weekly" Writing About Reading

Reading Log #1 will be assigned on Monday, September 15 and will be due on 
Monday, September 22.  Make sure to decide on an author and find two poems you enjoy and print them- this is all stage 1 of  the assignment.

Writing - Essay #1 is due on Tuesday, September 16.  Tell the story of your name and/or nickname just as our main character is sharing with us.

"Writing about My Reading" is due on Fridays.

Remember to check your grades online weekly ... progress reports come out in a few weeks.

Homeroom Students don't forget to turn in your beginning the year paperwork!!!!!  

Reading
Students are to finish their character drawing - an accurate depiction of either a major or minor character from the novel.  Details are extremely important.

Drawing + Essay due: on Thursday, May 15.

Writing
Writing About My Reading due:  Friday, May 16.
Short Writes due:  Friday, May 16.

Writing Test coming soon.  Students will be given prompts to choose from in order to write an essay about current novel.

Field Trip Forms going home this week - save the date - June 6th we are off to the Quarry Cinema.  Students need to bring back their permission forms and money.  We need chaperones!!!1
